used this cable to network a Garmin 106SV with a Garmin 73UHD - seems to be working just fine. I am able to share transducer, and can look at different views on both devices, ie sidescan on one unit and traditional sonar on the other

The cable is a standard cat5. But the thread on clips are not the same size as the garmin unit so it does not stay locked on tight.
