What I dislike - this particular product came out of Mexico (made in the USA) via DHL and the old stagecoaches were faster than DHL.This is not the first one of these I have purchased. My submersed pump has been in my well for 32 years. The only issue I have had were the pressure relay (clean points periodically, replace unit periodically) and the motor control box (this item). When the capacitor goes, the pump will no longer be triggered on. This is not a defect, just wear. I keep one of these on hands so I can replace it quickly. It took took a week to arrive, but that was not a concern, for it was purchased as a spare (the previous spare was installed two weeks ago. Simple fix - flip the breaker off, remove the old cover (if a Franklin Electric, install the new cover, turn breaker on and watch the water pressure rise. About a 10 minute fix with no service call needed. Capacitors seem to last 6 to 10 years, so not that expensive a fix.

My well pump shut off and would not turn back on. After a few tests, it became obvious it was in the control box (specifically the large black capacitor). I purchased the complete box because you really only need the cover with the attached components. It will plug right into your existing control box. Also, I found that replacing the capacitor appears easy if they send you the correct one for you size pump. However, the blue relay does not appear to be available as a separate purchase. The good news is that it rarely goes out.This was delivered pretty quick and now I have some spare parts.

This control replaces an older one from the same manufacturer and same model model #. However, the conduit punch-outs weren't in the same place as the old model. That lead to more work to reposition box, purchase hole saw bits and drill new holes. Slowed me down on the job but it did work.
