Quality die which probably should be included with the standard 9477 kit but isn’t too expensive regardless. Lets you crimp spark plug wires professionally.

I don't do a lot of plug wires, but after messing one up, this was totally worth a professional look and secure fit. The other little crimpers have also come in handy where some other jaws didn't quite finish the crimp properly. Astro jaw labeling is a little annoying.The only negative, these are longer than all the other jaws, and due to the way they snap into the tool, there can be a little registration issue with the tip where they don't want to mesh quite right. A few times I needed to just pinch it with my fingers to line up, then finish the crimp to the end.

These spark plug wire crimping dies work great. Note that in addition to fitting the Astro 9477 crimping tool, these dies also fit the Wirefy crimping tool (see photo). The ratcheting wire crimpers are just knock-off designs, so the dies are often interchangeable regardless of the name printed on the tool itself.

The Astro 9477 H1 jaw is perfect for the universal 8mm performance spark plug wires for crimping the terminal ends to the wire.
