Used these for candles for a resin tray candle set I worked on … you do have to tap outside and poke around inside of the molds with a toothpick in the corners with wax or resin or another medium and had to cut a few of the molds to use rubber bands prior to pours because I could see that on a few of them their was no way they would release with wax or soap even without major breakage.. mold quality for the price is good nice detail design and will be fun for various mediums… size are small so look at the measurements.. the noses did have to be reconstructed on a few of these angels… yes they had to get nose jobs lol

I was a little disappointed with this purchase because the mold is so tiny. Each flower mold is the size of a quarter. I have to take some responsibility for my disappointment because I didn't read the actual size before I added it to my cart. I just didn't think they would be sooo tiny. The kit came with some useful tools and I may be able to use this for butter pats or chocolates as it states in the ad. We'll see. Not worth a trip to the store to return. Just be aware if you are looking for regular sized candles or soaps, this may not be the right purchase for you.

I have only been making pillar candles a short time and I got a little over-ambitious. I ordered these beautiful silicon molds and I used them the 3rd time I ever poured pillar candles. The end result is beautiful, though I did run into some difficulty.These are not easy molds. They are not for beginners like myself. The silicon is very good quality. It is very thick and very stretchy so it is pretty easy to remove from the mold except for the neck of these lady candles. The neck is very narrow and it is difficult to remove the head of the candle without breaking the neck. I am going to have to cut these molds down so that it is easier to remove the finished candle. I have watched videos of this being done and understand it to be pretty common practice with difficult molds but I haven't done this yet, myself. I do see that it should work perfectly with these molds as they are very well made and the silicon is very thick.The molds do not have wick holes when you get them so I used a wicking tool to put them in. It was really easy to do. The mold is a little tricky to put a wick into because you have to pull it through that narrow neck section of the mold but it isn't overly difficult.Despite these candle molds being a bit beyond my current skill level, I really love them. The candles are gorgeous. The details are beautiful and delicate looking. I think that once I get the hang of using these advanced molds I will be able to make some really amazing Christmas gifts.
