As soon as I opened the box I was disappointed. When I saw the flat mirrors, I knew they wouldn’t provide the situational awareness that I want when I’m biking in traffic. I installed them on my e-bike, and my suspicions were confirmed over 40 miles of testing.Installation was simple enough, and the mirror kit includes two pairs of bases, and shims to fit firmly on handlebars of all standard diameters. Spread the bases open, slip them over the handlebars, and insert shims as needed to snug them up. The shims work okay, but I found that a strip of bike inner tube worked better for my handlebars.Once the bases are mounted, align the mirror stalks and tighten them with the supplied Allen wrench. You won’t have to be too precise, because the mirrors themselves are mounted on clever ball joints and you can point them anywhere you like. But it won’t help you much, because the mirrors will only give you a tiny glimpse of the traffic coming up behind you. These flat mirrors are a HUGE mistake. They’re a long way from your eyeballs, and they don’t show you enough to be useful at all. Hold a flat pocket mirror at arm’s length and try to look over your own shoulder. It doesn’t work, does it? Same problem here.Convex mirrors (like the Jeep mirror that says ‘Objects In Mirror Are Closer Then They Appear’ in Jurassic Park) give a wide-angle view of the cars and buses that might brush your left elbow as you cruise along in the bike lane. They’re also less sensitive to the vibrations that all bikes experience. But flat mirrors only give you a postage-stamp vignette of those potential hazards, and you’ll find yourself constantly moving your head around while trying to monitor the overtaking traffic. And they wiggle and jiggle like crazy, unless you’re on freshly-poured blacktop. These mirrors also work exceptionally poorly on e-bikes. E-bikes have a lot of extra bells and whistles mounted on the handlebars: thumb throttles and horns and displays and power-assist controls. These electronic bells and whistles take up a lot of the useful space on the handlebars, right near the grips.Which means these mirrors have to mount much too far inboard, so that most of what you see (as you frantically move your head around) is your own elbows, blocking your view to the rear. Longer stems (or an option to mount them at the end of the handlebars without having to chop your grips short) would help this problem a lot, but only if the mirrors were convex instead of flat.If these had longer stems and convex mirrors, they’d be The Bomb. But as they are, they’re just a bust.

It took me a little while to get it adjusted just right, but now I can safely look to see what's behind me while riding in traffic. They had a great idea leaving the Allen wrench in th mirror to help with the adjustment when needed. Mirrors are a fucshioning add on to keep me safe.

I needed them because I lost my left eye, so on my three wheel bicycle they’re very useful

Just the right length and adjustment ability! It's essential as a biker sharing the road/bike lane that you watch out for cars, people etc. These mirrors allow you to do that

I like to ride my ATV but it’s loud. Sometimes I was unaware someone else was behind me so I got this mirror. It works ok and the size is not bad. One issue I had was getting it to stay in place. It’s made of plastic, so didn’t was to over tighten and break it. It doesn’t move while riding, but if I bump it, I have to re-adjust (which happens pretty often). It does have a slight dim at night so the light from another person coming behind you doesn’t blind you. Overall it’s ok for the price so I’ll be keeping it.

The view is good and easy to adjust, but I get it where I want it and go for a bike ride. The mirror starts sliding around the handle bar. Have to work on something that will help it from slipping. It seems really tight, but needs something sticky to hold it. My spouse's mirror does the same thing.
