  • ◆Principle and Function:It is always a good idea to replace the rag joint when doing any work on the steering system. Rag joints provide a small amount of flex for a steering shaft within a few degrees of the same plane as the steering gear input shaft. They also provide some damping of vibration coming from the steering system, providing some isolation for the steering wheel. These joints will wear over time, so replacing them is an inexpensive way to refresh the steering system.

Bought to replace 1982 C10 original rag joint to fit on Borgeson quick ratio steering box and it was a perfect fit. You will only need the half that goes on the steering box.

everything is perfect, quality and fit fit. The only difference from the original is this new one has a larger overall radius. I had clearance so no issues for me, just a heads up.
