I wouldn't call them a hipster brief, they are more of a bikini style underwear with a low cut leg and good coverage in the back, they sit below the hip bone. The material is amazingly soft! The sizing is right on the spot, the elastic around leg is hold them in place, without being too tight. The elastic on the top is not too tight either and covered. Very comfortable underwear. I like that they are made from 100% merino wool and don't have spandex/nylon added, but it also makes them more delicate and less durable in a long run, it is better to wash them by hand.

I am 5'3 and 116 lbs. I'm usually a size 2 and can fit into xs/s underwear. I ordered a size small, and while they do fit over my hips and are a nice material, the elastic around the legs is so tight that my butt cheeks are split in half. This makes them uncomfortable and for me, unwearable. The top elastic is tight and barely makes it over the top of my butt. I'd recommend these if you're very slender, don't mind elastic on your thighs, and have a flat butt. Maybe also size up just to be safe. Otherwise they're nice wool and I'm sure they perform well.

I dislike the style. The fabric is lovely. I was approved for return, however to return would cost $27.00.

I was advised to try these after moaning about sweaty 'bits' sitting at the computer. Comfy, not sweaty at all. I'm UK size 8-10, ordered a small which fit perfectly.
