I haven't yet had a chance to try these. This size is only for shoes and sandals. I wanted to try making my own studded shoes so that I wouldn't have to shell out for the big brand, but we haven't had the winter weather to make them useful (in Minnesota!). I also haven't been able to choose a pair of shoes that I would actually wear outside in icy conditions, but would be willing to give up if this installation didn't go as planned. I have a pair of insulated hiking shoes, but I'd be sad if I ruined them, or if I could feel the studs inside the shoe. I'll consider installing these in a pair of hiking sandals or summer trail runners as the weather gets warmer and I run into hard-packed trails, but I really wanted them for ice.All of the studs are there and for the price I'd hope they work well, but I can't say much more for the moment. I'll update if I finally get a chance to try them.

I bike in the winter, and while the shoes I use are pretty decent for walking on most terrain, they are not great for ice. These make it easy to stud almost any pair of shoes to fix that issue.
