These are THE. BEST. HANDS. DOWN. Steel screws I have EVER used, and I use them a LOT! Super sharp starter tip gets the holes drilled in under 2 seconds! I'm sticking with this brand FOREVER!

I'm going to start off by saying it's hard to write a review about screws. They either work, or they don't. I needed some longer screws to fix my wood box and extend the vertical height of my wood box and these screws worked perfectly for that. They were the perfect link that they went into the 2x4 and extra plank that I used for vertical height but they did not penetrate out the other side. It didn't take a lot of effort to get the screw to start drilling, and once it got burrowing through the Wood, it drilled in quite quickly. The screw head seemed pretty durable as well as I was drilling fast since I was in a hurry and once it hit into its full depth it started skipping over the screw head. This can cause cheaper screws to strip, but there was absolutely no sign of damage that I could see. So these screws are not made out of cheap metal and are high quality screws as far as I can tell. These are great for home improvement repairs and in the near future, they're going to be made useful for me for an upcoming project as I need to build a new door out of some planks for my woodshed and these screws are just about the right length for that job.Considering the price of screws nowadays, you want to make sure you're getting something that's going to last and this seem like they should last.

These 50pcs set of #12 x 1" 410 Stainless-Steel Flat Head Phillips-head screws from IMScrews are manufactured to tight tolerances, and snugly tap-and-fit through a pre-drilled pilot-hole (in thicker plates) and can even easily drill-through and self-tap on thinner sheets. These are easy to work with, and are a must in any DIY/workshop for repairs, retrofits, prototypes, etc... or as replacements - especially when it's exposed to the elements.

Will work fine as wood to metal or metal to wood, but the wood will need to be pre-drilled (pilot hole) as the tip is a metal cutting flange and not a pointed tip. It'll dig into wood but not without chewing up until the thread bites in.
