I have a 1978 Wheelhorse garden tractor which I am the original owner of. During the past few years the neighbors have been complaining the tractor seems louder. Original exhaust appears in good shape, however I come to find out the muffler insides have rotted away. I tried three other mufflers and none of them would make this old Koehler engine quiet. This muffler I purchased on Amazon is heavy duty and works! Brings the noise level down too! Very pleased with this muffler. I will like to add. The muffler clamp included could use some improvements. I used an old style U bolt muffler clamp.

Zero complaints. I modified the inlet and outlet on this to fit a Briggs cast iron 16hp. Quiet but still has a nice low note. This will be a go to muffler for me in the future. I like it.

Out of round Inlet, almost egg shaped, Strange Angle on Bottom Mount Strap, Entire Assembly too Long & too wide to fit on Wheel Horse Garden Tractor with K241 Kohler Engine, as Advertised. Mine is a Cast Iron K241 & the Exhaust mounts out of the front Left Corner of engine at a Diagonal Angle directly over the right front axel. The way this manufactured it ends up with a strange angle at the bottom mounting tab welded to it & the entire assembly is too long. Also the inlet tube should be LONGER to bring the body out further because the Hood will not fit back on the front of the tractor because the entire muffler body blocks the hood from going into place. Falsely advertised for this engine, unless Kohler makes another type of K241 engine that I have never seen or heard of, possibly like their later model ALUMINUM 12HP ??

This is the second one I purchased because of the great quality, it fit my kohler 12hp engines exhaust pipe nicely, I used this muffler as a stack, my son wanted the tractor a bit quieter and it performed well its been on the tractor for 2 years now

Will work for a 70's wheel horse tracktor but a u clamp and brace on the end will be needed.
