Check the size before you need it in case you need to return. I bought two for backups in April and just now needed one for a leak. Hose did not fit 1 1/4 Intex fitting. They are 1 inch hoses and I'm probably past my return time.

The sun here seems to just eat everything alive. It works great for a season or two if I am lucky. I wish they made this more UV resistant. I just plan on this being a yearly expense for the pool.Other than that, it is great. A good snug fit but not to tight and flexible enough to position the skimmer where I need it.

We ordered these as a replacement for a Bestway hose on our above ground pool. We couldn't find a Bestway, so bought this Intex instead.One of the first things I noticed was that the Intex hose was not translucent like the Bestway, and appeared to be a denser, less pliable plastic.This particular hose was put into use in September 2022, and then we subsequently winterized our pool about two months later. When we did that, we removed the sand filter and all the hoses and stored them in our unheated shed (although I do not think that should have mattered-we are in Central Texas).We placed our pool back into service in early April (new sand in the sand filter, etc.), and have been cycling the water on a daily basis, so this hose has essentially been used for about three months.Looked out our window this morning, and there was a split in the hose spraying water up in the air.The good news is that I ordered two, and now the second Intex hose has replaced the first Intex hose, but . . . Do I trust the new one?Not sure why the first Bestway hose broke, but its companion is still going strong.Need to find a Bestway hose to have as a spare!
