I am obsessed with disc-bound notebooks. I have found that the metal discs cause the pages to turn more smoothly. These are good quality and pretty. Happy with my purchase.

Aluminum is the way to go for disc bound notebooks. Paper slides easily. Great for all of my journals and planner.

These discs were perfect. Nita lot larger than the ones that came on my Tul notebook.

Lovely and subtle shade of rose gold. Smooth operation too, far superior to the plastic ones my TUL leather binder came with.Great size too - just a little bigger than the original ones - so the notebook feels just right, and not bulky.Liked the Rose Gold so much I got the Silver ones for another binder.Recommended.

So I have stacks of the plastic discs, practical cheap and does the job and is light. However, for my “special” personal files I like to use the heavier aluminum discs, especially with a heavier cover binder it feels more sturdy and has a greater quality feel. The plastic ones would of course do the job but sometimes you just want a little “luxury” . So I’ll keep using the plastic ones , but for my special files I’ll use the fancy aluminum ones. The black and silver look great , the gold ones not so much. They also feel cold to the touch so you’ll be able to distinguish just by touch which files are your special ones
