Only gave it a few hundred degrees and no flame but it stops the heat.

My brother is a hobby/project welder. He doesn't do it for a living, but he is good at what he does. Sometimes he has a smaller project that requires him to work on a raised surface. The only surface in his shop right now is a wooden countertop. He puts these down and can work knowing that his counters are protected and won't catch his shop/garage on fire. He says they work great, though, I must admit I've never been around when he's used them.

Quality appears good and no problems with it doing its job. I would prefer something thicker and maybe bigger dimensions, but again, no problems to report.

I got these welding mats to protect my work bench and the areas surrounding my welding projects, and they did exactly what I'd hoped/expected. They protected the paint of the surface of the project I was working on. The mats captured any welding splatter and rolled right off as I shook the mat off. Thus far, I'm pleased with their performance! Five stars!

I like the size of the blanket unlike a large blanket you can wrap it around or or tuck it into places . I used it in close proximity to a d-ring bracket I was welding on to a cart to protect the paint. Neither the paint or the carbon blanket were damaged by the arc or the arc splatter. I think it's a good item and would recommend it.

Got these to fix some copper plumbing in my cabin. They worked great with my propane torch, no complaints. It's so strange but mice seem to LOVE chewing up the portions of the blanket which has been torched, they would seek out just the blankets I've used and chew them all up. I've learned to keep them in storage tote to stop them from becoming mice snacks.
