Leaks from valve covers may be problematic. These not only cause unsightly stains but may lead to serious problems if not repaired.
What is a Valve Cover Gasket?
Designed to seal the valve cover to the surface of the engine cylinder head, the valve cover gasket prevents motor oil from leaking out of the joint. The valve cover gasket withstands the stresses of the two surfaces expanding, shrinking, warping and rubbing while sealing in engine oil.
Install step::
1. First, remove the valve cover screws from both sides to the middle diagonally, pry the valve cover with a slotted knife and take out the valve cover gasket;
2. Clean the valve cover with cleaning agent, clean the contact surface between the valve cover and cylinder head, install the valve cover gasket, apply sealant, and screw the screws diagonally from the middle to both sides;
Pay attention when replace gasket:
* Pls use genuine gasket,wipe the two joint surfaces of engine and clean valve cover with a soft brush.
*Clean the valve cover with cleaning agent, clean the contact surface between the valve cover and cylinder head, install the valve cover gasket, apply gasket maker, and screw the screws diagonally from the middle to both sides.
*Don't scar the valve cover surface when carving debris.Tighten the fixing bolts of valve cover evenly,not too tight,which might hurt your cover.

So far after installation no leaks, holding pretty well. Hopefully will last long time. It comes with all necessary parts to complete replacement of valve gasket.

This gasket is not a snug when you put it in the groove so when you flip the cover over to bolt it down the gasket will want to fall off. Save your $ and get the oem lesss of a headache. I had to put the rtv in the grove and then put gasket in the grove. This help hold the gasket in place so I can flip it over to bolt it down.
