It's like a tiny, nerdy laser sword for your telescope! Okay, maybe not quite that exciting, but it's still pretty cool. This little gadget makes collimating your Newtonian telescope a breeze. No more squinting through eyepieces and cursing at blurry stars. Just point, shoot, and watch your telescope's aim become laser-focused (pun intended). It's like a magic wand for astronomers, turning your telescope into a celestial image-capturing machine. So, if you're tired of fuzzy views and want to level up your stargazing game, this collimator is your new best friend.

What I like about it, is that it is easy to use, and has made my collimation so much easier. I went from a 30-45minutes of trying to eyeball it with a collimation cap to getting clearer images in about 5 minutes. However, there is a drawback to this laser. Some designs look less sexy because they are simple cylinders. A cylindrical design makes it easier to collimate the laser itself. I would need to build a jig in order to check the collimation of the laser itself. That said, my tube is only 650mm, so it's unlikely that it would make much difference. I would like to be able to easily check that it is accurate, though.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but next month I get a BIG DOBSONIAN and I will work it to no end. No reason to think it won't work great

Nice product there are very few like it and this works the best. I tried other laser collimators and they didn't fit right in the focuser. This one has been solid over many starlit nights

I just received the collimator, but it seems to be a great buy. It is well made and sturdy. All threads for the battery and compartment and compression ring smooth. Very easy to use. Well worth the money over cheaper collimators. Included is a sturdy, hinged custom case with spaces cut out for the collimator, battery, and spaces for extras.

The design concept is wrong. Most of the focusers are not self centering focusers. The self centering collimator would generate more error when you put you eyepiece on after collimation.
