These screws are not stainless steel! They are a softer metal and some are not properly packaged. I found a small Phillips screw in my torx screw bag… I used a few in the bathroom on towel racks and set the clutch to 5 on my screw gun, the torx screws were marred even at the light 5 setting. These should be impact resistant if they are stainless steel. I also used a magnet stud finder on my project and found that the screws stick to the magnet with force. Some stainless steel sticks lightly to powerful magnets but iron sticks with force. I thought of returning the items but I will just toss them into a screw bucket and use them for mediocre tasks.

Coarse thread as expected for wood. Self tapping is a misplaced phrase. Will update review if there are any unexpected issues. Looks good

They stick to a magnet. These can’t be legitimate 304 stainless steel.
