GM Original Equipment Engine Coolant Thermostat/Water Inlet Assemblies contain the engine thermostat and water inlet housing and are GM-recommended replacements for your vehicle’s original components. The engine coolant thermostat controls the flow of coolant through the radiator to enable the engine to reach and maintain its normal operating temperature. The water inlet housing connects the radiator hoses to the thermostat. For certain applications, the water inlet contains threaded holes or ports for sensors and switches. These original equipment engine coolant thermostat/water inlet assemblies have been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

Firs my 2007 2.9L, BUT, I highly suggest water testing it before install, the first round did not fully open. Upon taking it apart to inspect, I found a tiny brass debris wedged on the stem/shaft. Removed it, retested 2x more times and now works perfect. 1,000 miles later and zero issues, no more P0128 “cold” thermostat code. Can’t beat this price compared to OEM. Would by again.

The vehicle now warms up quickly. The part was not the easiest to install but it was worth it to have heat this winter

Fits my 05 chevy colorado like oem. Works great so far. I can hear it kick on when its supposed to... Lil hard to access it to install... driver side front, behind wheel/wheelwell behind the alternator, cant get to it from top...anyways I put a finger dab of standard axle grease on the oring seal of the thermostat to hold it into place bc it kept falling off aspecialy it being in hard access location, it fell off every time..that lil trick seemed to do the trick to stay on bc once installed i see no leaks. Awesome great price, other aftermarkets still cost more. I Hope the price doesn't affect the long-term quality, but it seems well made, except that cheaper thinner oring seal. Lol ...so i geuss we'll see on longevity will be on the thermostat and the oring. So far so good though
