These drill bits are very sharp and effective when new but they didn't last very long drilling stainless steel. Drilled about 5 or 6 six holes in 1/4 inch stainless and didn't let the drill bit get too hot before becoming noticeably dull. Good price for the 3 bits so I've just changed out to newer bits and haven't sharpened any of them yet, good value for decent drill bits.

We have tried a few different sizes of these drill bits and they worked great. These have hex shanks, which makes using them quick and easy. Like my other Cobalt drill bits, they have stayed sharp and last longer than "titanium" or other types of bits. I only buy Cobalt bits and wish somebody would have told me to only buy Cobalt when I was much younger. I wasted a lot of money on bits that could not drill aluminum, steel, or hard plastic.

Hex bits are always great. I have a drill which has two heads which needs those, and these are just what I needed so I could use a smaller one for the pilot and a bigger one for the countersink without changing bits or drills. They fit in the standard chuck securely and the collet type, so useable in any type of drill..

These 5/64" cobalt drill bits are perfect for the job I got them for. They're very sharp and drill clean holes in hard wood and plywood. They have a split point and grab into the wood they're drilling instantly. A titanium coating gives them heat and rust protection for longer use time. I also tried one on a section of weathered knotty fence railing and the bit drilled into it without the least bit of resistance. One of the qualities I like is the hex shank the drill bit has, which makes it quick for me to load a bit into my drill and keep it firmly in place during use despite the downward pressure from drilling. The listing indicates the bits are versatile and can drill in metal, stainless steel, hard wood and much more. Also convenient is the plastic container they're sold in that keeps them clean and easy to select whenever they're needed.I think using these drill bits are precision meets power. Ultimate 5/64" cobalt drill bits for unmatched performance in metal, wood, and beyond.

Love these drill bits. Having them built into the hex shank makes using my impact drill so much easier and preferable to my regular drill when doing quick pilot hole projects. Just have the hex bit and the hex screw head and swap back and forth so quickly you can do it one handed.I'll be looking for an entire set of these in all sizes. Definitely recommend.

Two of the three bits broke in first hours of use when drilling through 19 ga galvanized pipe. The hex shank separated from the drilling body of the bit.

This cobalt drill bit set is an excellent choice for anyone working with metal or wood! The 1/8” size is versatile and perfect for a variety of projects. I appreciate the hex shank design, which provides a secure grip in the drill, reducing slippage during use. These bits are durable and cut through metal, stainless steel, and cast iron with ease, making them a great addition to any toolbox. The titanium coating enhances their longevity and performance. Overall, this 3-pack offers great value and reliability for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality drill bits!

Most of the time I use proper drills for my holes but there are plenty of times I only have my impact on hand and need to drill a quick hole. I do have a chuck that I can use but its slow going back and forth. These having a 1/4 drive is great for drilling a decent size hole quickly with them. These even work through hardened materials. I do have some other hex drive bits but they are mostly smaller so having the larger one is a nice time saver. Definitely added the bit to my home and work kits.
