We wanted the drains to the in a specific location, close to our yard drains. This didn't allow the pump to be off the grass and on the tarp below the pool. With these hose extensions, the pump is off to the side where we wanted it. Perfect fit for the Intex 18ft x 48in pool.

Not a direct replacement for intex hose. Different threads, leaks air and not as good of a connection. Do not recommend.

This is my second set. They do not even last six or seven months and they spring a hole. They are hooked up exactly the way they’re supposed to be I had a professional do it. Paid them to do it. And now I have to order more. I will never ever buy another Intex pool or any Intex product again and I just spent over $400 on an Intex filter. That is a piece of crap.

These hoses were quite expensive about $38. the walls seem thinner than the intex hoses. The intex hoses I took pictures of, are from the actual intex pump. In addition the internal circumference of the end of the hoses may not properly make a proper seal with the shutoff valve that is supposed to stop the water as you service the pool pump assembly. So you get what you pay for. I purchased them because I thought they are from intex but they are not. My opinion is not to buy these, but if you have them already and do not use the shutoff valves then perhaps they may work as hoses. I am using the original intex hoses. I have other hoses which are not from intex and they look better (I mean more similar to the intex ones), they look like the intex ones. I have not ripped the plastic of them, haven't needed them yet. I am curious if anyone has experienced problems or the broke faster than the better manufactured hoses. Yea cutting corners to beat the original in price may leave you with less functionality, or failures.
