I bought these with high expectations and they went up in flames. Normally that would be a bad thing. But these are wicks and that's kind of what they're supposed to do. And they did it exceedingly well.They produce a nice solid flame with good illumination.And they seem to last a surprisingly a long time.

This is actually flat, not round as advertised. The weave is loose like pajama fabric or dishtowels. It doesn't work in my old-fashioned lamp, as the wick adjustment mechanism fails to catch on the flimsy material. My lamp came with a much tighter, sturdier, solid cloth wick: Where can I find decent replacement wicks; can somebody tell me? Thank you.

Bought these to have on hand for emergencies. We lost power for weeks after hurricane Helene hit us. These were ordered to fit my small lamps. They wear the right length. They burn well. However they didn’t last long, the material was too loosely bound and they did not feed into the lamp tube well. For an emergency they got us through but not without losing my cool multiple times. The material wasn’t what I thought it was and not worth it to me.

These are useful, just not braided as tightly as others I’ve used in the past.
