The physical size of the plug and receptacle is large, making it easy to connect and disconnect, even with wet hands. The materials are all top-notch, and the kit includes everything needed for installation; mounting gasket for the receptacle, ferrules, screw connectors and heat shrink tubing for splicing, and even a receptacle cap with a stainless tether cable. The screw turn locking mechanism is a great feature, and makes it easy to know that the plug is secured and providing solid electrical contact - especially compared to inferior push-in style plugs. And the large contact pins and sockets ensure there is minimal voltage loss (compared to push and twist style plugs).Overall, this plug and connector are a great upgrade to older trolling motor plug systems, or would work great anywhere a bulkhead style battery quick connect/disconnect is needed.PROS:- Easy to connect and disconnect- Well made, quality material- All components included for installationCONS:- None

this trolling motor plug is well made and chunky, it is exactly the same as the MK plug but half the price. Easy to fit.

This trolling motor plug appears to be a dupe of the Minn Kota heavy duty plug at about half the price. It is very heavy duty and should work well for trolling motors that draw large amps (36v, 100+ lbs thrust). I purchased it to use for a 12v kayak trolling motor that pulls about 50 amps and it's admittedly overkill for that scenario. However, I do really like the threaded retention that this plug provides and the 90 degree elbow connector gives me the clearance I need to fit on my battery box and not waste space in the kayak. I don't have to worry about bumping this and breaking anything--I think I'd put a hole in my kayak before breaking this plug. All of the wiring and contacts are turned so salt water usage should not be a problem. Installation was straightforward and did not require any special tools aside from a hole saw. I'm satisfied and can recommend.

Our family loves to take boat trips and fish together but lately it has been a frustration for us as we have been having trouble with our trolling motor. Nothing is worse than getting everything all packed up to go and everyone being excited to just have to turn around and go home with a defunct trolling motor. We recently replaced our entire trolling motor and purchased a motor plug simultaneously. This plug is exactly what we needed for our new trolling motor. The materials are very well made, heavy duty materials. It has a very strong and secure plug connection which is extremely helpful since we had issues with our last plug in saltwater conditions. This one works WAY better! The directions are clear and easy to follow and the connection is super easy to connect and was an exact fit for the existing outlet on our boat. To say we are happy with this plug is an understatement. We highly recommend it!

The Trolling Motor Plug and Receptacle is a monstrously big and beefy connector that’s perfect for handling heavy demands. Its watertight design and quick-connect functionality make it a durable and practical choice for both freshwater and saltwater use. While the overall build is impressive, the included splice connectors are a bit unusual and could benefit from a more straightforward design. That said, it’s a reliable option for anyone looking to upgrade or replace their trolling motor connection system with something rugged and dependable. I'm using it in a 48V charging system and it works flawlessly.

I purchased this adapter to use with the trolling motor on our boat. The plastic connectors are very sturdy and I like the fact that the connectors have screw on caps to help keep the weather out. The quality seems very good. I am  happy with this product and would purchase again!

This Trolling Motor Plug and Receptacles system is great. Certainly heavy duty and built to last.I was somewhat surprised by how large it is. For some reason I did not fully digest the dimension information in the description. But, quality equipment engineered to last in marine environments is often bigger than the flimsy cheap stuff.I am using this system on my party barge (DIY wood floating deck). The batteries are in a compartment under the cedar deck 15 feet from the motor. So, the receptacle connects to 4 gauge wires under deck. I like that this is a complete system with all the connection parts needed. In rare cases I move my motor to other mounts on my barge and even on friends barges. I have not yet figured out how I will make those moves with my motor having this plug permanently attached. I wish I had an adapter gizmo to occasionally connect this plug to a battery that is not set up with a receptacle.
