Terrible. My bar ends inner diameter measures 18.75 mm and the nut does fit. Yes I used the big nut.

This doesn`t fit 1-in handlebar. Double bushing at maximum expansion can only slightly touch handlebar inside, allowing pulling the end cap out by hand with very slight force... I would say, it may work on 7/8 inch bars maximum.
