This two pack seem like cheap immitations for a foil cutter. They take forever to open a bottle and I have to grip as tight as I can. :(

Was attracted by the offer to get to cutters for a really low price. Neither one cuts the foil easily. It takes lots of pressure and multiple turns to get most of the foil cut and then I had to peel off what didn't get cut. Am returning them and spending over twice as much on a highly ranked tool.

I've always hated removing the foil on wine bottles. I had a foil cutter by a different manufacturer and it was a different design that simply didn't work. I saw this foil cutter and it seemed like a simple, logical design that should work. So I ordered it, (actually 2, since it comes with 2), and it works like it is supposed to. Very happy with this simple device.

Does the job, but cheaply made. 4 stars because I feel I got what I paid for - no regrets. My sister was cutting off the foil on wine bottles with whatever was handy - like a steak knife. This tool works much better (and safer). However, nicer tools have cutting wheels, this does not and the plastic is thin. Works fine for now but not sure how long it will last.

Days after my hubby broke our (fancy) foil cutter, I found this 2-pack and ordered it. They arrived exactly as promised, and work great! They are a bit light, so you need to be very deliberate in using them, but it is still quick and easy to remove the foil top. I'm happy to have one and a spare, and the price for both is great.These may show up in the Christmas stockings of several wine-loving friends :)

A very useful tool for cutting the foil around the wine bottle cork. Much easier and safer than using a knife. I found out about this product when I received an expensive wine bottle opener kit, and this tool was included in the kit. After a while I was only using this tool from the kit, leaving the single handed cork puller for more practical hand corkscrews.Of course I wanted an additional foil cutter for my home and for a gift to my friends.

Great foil cutter! We are very happy with this purchase. Simply stated, it quickly and easily cuts the foil, better than any cutter we've had. Great value (2 for $6.95). I saw inferior foil cutters at our local "beverage" store for $11. In regards to the comments/nonsense about "foil shavings"...we found these to be microscopic and can easily be swept off counter. No reason whatsoever to keep you from trying these excellent little cutters.

The first time I used it I didn't think it worked very well; however, I then discovered that the foil cutter's serrated teeth were grabbing the foil and spinning the entire foil wrapper around the bottle without actually cutting it. I then held the foil against the bottle with one hand while rotating the cutter around the bottle with the other hand and it worked perfectly. One rotation around the bottle is all it takes and the foil is cut cleanly. I highly recommend it!
