This arrived quickly and in excellent condition.I ordered these to use with 2 in our palapa. These are heavy-duty springs. They are made from stainless steel, but I doubt the claim of them being made from 304 Stainless Steel because 304 is non-magnetic, and my magnet sticks to them tightly. Some 304 S.S. can be slightly magnetic, but this is not slightly magnetic; it is heavily magnetic. It is more likely to be 420 stainless steel. Whichever it is, it's made of quality Stainless Steel. I plan on using this to replace the cheap, worn-out springs on our three-person patio swing in March (it's put away for the winter). These springs will likely last much longer than the swing! The springs are 8-3/4" long and weigh 1-1/4 pounds each. They have protective caps covering both ends of the spring. Conclusion: These swing springs are available at a very reasonable price. The orange and blue big box home centers are charging four to six times the cost of these. A word of caution, the 1300lbs is the capacity or the point of failure (when it is stretched to the point that the gaps in the coil no longer come back together when the load is removed). The maximum load should be 50% of the capacity of the spring. These springs, for the price, are a solid 5/5.
