How to Choose Bike Disc Brake Pads ?
- If you do not know whether it is compatible with your brakes, please directly look at the shape of your original brake pads. If the shape is the same as the original brake pad shape, you can use it.
- These resin and semi-metallic pads are for lighter weight riders, and riding where lots of brakes are not required, like cross country, and riding in flatter areas. They also have a large amount of initial grab and are much quieter. I know I hate brake squeal, and I'm sure you do too. One big disadvantage of these pads is that they wear out quicker. Also don't run these pads when it is muddy, wet, or even very dusty conditions.
- These metal pads and sintered copper-based pads will be better if you are a heavier rider. These pads are recommended for riding in wet, muddy, or dusty conditions. Although they are more noisy, and do not have as much of an initial bite as organic pads, you will definitely notice the increased performance at the end of your run.

If you find that the brake pads are too thick to fit, it may be caused by two problems:
- If your brakes have been used for a long time, lead to the clearance becomes smaller due to the brake fluid or the brake cylinder or other reason and cannot be installed.
- The second possibility is that the thickness of the brake pad deviates from the normal tolerance range, which is rarely the case.
The solution: Recalibrate the brakes or grind off a little bit of the brake pad surface.

The 2 Pairs Brake Pads for TRP, Tektro, and Shimano disc brakes exceeded my expectations. Installation was straightforward, and the fit was perfect. These pads are highly effective, providing excellent stopping power. While they do produce some noise, it's just the sound of friction and is much quieter compared to my previous pads.These brake pads deliver the performance you expect from disc brakes. I'm planning to install the second pair on the rear soon. Although I can't comment on their long-term durability yet, I'm very pleased with their performance so far.

I tried the multi-metallic, semi-metallic and resin based brakes. They brake as advertised and worked well enough on my Aventon Aventure 2 bike despite it weighing 70lbs. However, they were all super squeaky. I thought they would break in after a while and quite down. I cleaned the brake disc multi times with no effect. I used them for several hundred miles of commuting. I tried each brake type thinking it get rid of the squeaking. Nothing worked, they are just too loud and annoying. I finally tried a completely different brand (multi-metallic by Inkesky) and it was a night and day difference.

Fit perfectly on Tektro disc-brakes, but compared to the factory Tektro pads, there was significantly less stopping power / grip than the factory pads. When i removed the factory pads after about 2,500km / 100 rides, these replacement pads had about the same amount of material (thickness) as the factory pads. Maybe that is typical for replacement pads, i do not know, but certainly reduced quality compared to original equipment.

Updated 3/30/2023 for Sintered Metal versionThe new compound is fantastic! There were minor things on the Copper-Based that were easy to live with for the performance. First, the brake material was thinner and backing plate was thicker than OEM. Overall they were under 4mm total. You got less mileage. Also, the Copper-Based did take their toll on rotors. My rear stock TR-24 (180-24) rotor lasted just over 2,000 miles before it was approaching the 1.5mm replacement point (1.55mm at thinnest point).The Sintered Metal have more braking material, a backing plate closer to OEM, and an overall thickness just the tiniest bit over 4mm. Significantly more mileage (over 900 versus 500-600) with all the things we loved about the Copper-Based. The edges do seem a little more brittle, so go easy on wheel changes! Still, I have to say the Sintered Metal are my choice now for this pad form factor.Full disclosure: I was provided a set (4 pads) of Sintered by Corki when I inquired about the compound change. I have since purchased a set (4 pads) as well.Original review of Copper-Based:Purchased the Copper-Based pads to replace A10.11 OEM pads for hyraulic Tektro HD-E 350s on an Ariel Rider Kepler ebike. I had used 0.2mm of the original pads and had enough of their turkey gobbler call when heated up.These Corki Copper-Based pads perform superbly. No more fade and odd sounds by heat buildup. They bring my 26" x 4" wheels, on 90lbs of bike with super grippy slicks, and 225lbs of me, to a quick, controlled stop from 32mph.Whisper quiet stopping with no fade. Do not wait to replace cheap OEM pads. Put these in now!

I have been using Shimano brakes and resin pads for six years. First time using these pads and i am very pleased with them. Exact fit, quick bed in, quite and great performance. Have only been using these for about a month but they are holding up. Past experiences with Shimano resin pads is a relatively short life so i am not expecting extended service. My rotors say resin pads only and i never tried any other compounds. I will certainly buy these in the future over the Shimano pads.Follow up 8/5/22. Pads holding up great. Very little wear, no noise, excellent feel and no complaints. I would recommend these for shimano replacements.

I installed these on my Dualtron Victor electric scooter which uses the HB-875 full hydraulic Zoom brakes. The pads barely fit in the caliper width wise. I had to grind off some the ends of the backing material because it measures 30.77mm and the Zoom brakes only have a clearance of 29mm. Its possible I have the wrong brake pad size but after some grinding they do work. My Dualtron can reach speeds of 45mph and these pads do a reasonably good job of stopping me completely within 15 ft. It could probably stop me sooner but I don't want to flat spot my tires and be thrown from the scooter via momentum.I have found that in the rain the effectiveness is greatly reduced, to a terrifying degree. I want to point out all good things bout these pads i got the copper based pads btw1. Easy to Install2. Came with plier3. Fits perfectly in my caliper4. No longer scratchy noises coming from calipers which means these pads are very compatible5. Price is way better compared to tektro6. The shipping was fast compared to tektro that it takes 3 weeks for them to send pads that don't last btw it arrived in 3 days without prime7. Durable8. Nice lookingOverall everyone need to stop going by brand and give this a try they really giving quality pads at low cost. Don't look at the negative reviews give it a try I'm pretty sure the negative reviews are from people that don't follow instructions and are very rough with they items i recommend these pads i will keep buying my pads from them without hesitation.
