If you use this pad on a basketball stand that you keep outside, the white coating will get filthy in a matter of days.I use it in the basement garage. Wrapped around the support pole this dense cushion will prevent my car door from being dented when I open it - if I should hit the pole.This pad fits tightly, with no extra overhang and the straps hold it in place tightly.Highly recommended. (I just wish I could, maybe, paint it?)
