These ladder hooks do the job just fine. I like the pvc coating.My only concsern is that the screws that are provided are quite short and I think they would tear out if a lot of weight was put on the ladder. The hooks would normally be attached to the edge of a ladder that has rails that are wide enough to accept longer screws, so I recommend getting some longer screws and using those if you can.

I used it to make a small ladder for my RV bunk bed. The hook allowed me to attach it to the wood of the ladder and easily hook onto the top bunk rail in order the climb up. The edges are not sharp so that is a plus. So far, it is hooking onto the top bunk rail without issues.
