  • Seal around pipes on roofs you can't flash over

Made in America, Garrdal 2 piece pipe boot allows the user to retrofit this new flashing around a pipe when a traditional 1 piece boot can't be pushed over it. Electrical masts, high efficiency concentric roof vent pipes or other obstacles can easily be overcome. Garrdal bases are rigid thermoplastic to provide structural support to firmly seal the pliable collar against pipes of most sizes. Tear away ribs allow the installer to adjust opening size. Lower portion is slightly smaller than the upper portion so the two pieces nest together forming a one piece boot when they are fastened to the roof deck. Installation takes mere seconds. For shingled roofs, most pipe sizes, most slopes.

It fit right over top of the old fitting. No need to tear out the old piece (which was very soldily installed). Passed my roof inspection no problem.

Perfect for power weatherhead or other plumbing or piping with continuous run up top. Not exactly water proof though. You must add sealant at the connection point.

Works well. Didn’t fit as tight or snug as our roofer wanted but says it does that job. Can add chalking or whatever else for piece of mind.

This is a good product if your electrical mast is far enough away from the roof edge. The round base is way too wide for masts close to the edge. Also, the rubber boot has markings for pipe diameter. My mast is 2.5 inches. I cut the boot on the 2.5 inch marking, and was left with a quarter inch gap between the rubber and the mast pole. Epic fail. Lost my money on this. If you have a 2.5 inch pipe, maybe the 2" line would work, too late for me, I followed the instructions and got burned. I wish I could give zero stars.

Let me just start by saying this was installed on an existing shingle roof to replace a failed conventional one-piece roofing jack. I looked at several split roof jacks and chose this one because it looked like it would do the best job. It was the overlap feature that sold me. The problem I have with it is that when properly trimmed per the instructions, the rubber portion of the lower section sags downward and the rubber section of the upper section sticks up leaving a gap where they come together around the power mast. As a result, there is a possibility it could leak during a heavy rain or that ice could build up where the sag is. Also, the size was much larger than the conventional roof jack. I had to cut away more roofing just to get it installed correctly. Also, the size of the upper section was hard to get under the existing roofing as this was a fix for an old roof jack that had failed. I’ll probably try something else for any future roofing job or repair. I’m disappointed with what I got for the price.

Used this flashing around my power mast and saved a lot of money. I was quoted $300 to $400 by 2 different electrical contractors for permits to disconnect the lines to my house, labor to dissassemble the weatherhead, drop a new flashing over the mast, then reassemle and connect. It took me about 45 minutes to cut the old flashing off, fit the the new flashing, apply sealer, and nail in place. Counting the sealer I had about $60 in the job.
