These black metal plates with adhesive are designed to hold the car phone holders. They have smooth edges, are strong and will not bend easily (I tried to put a slight bend in one to no avail.) The plates are a good quality of metal that holds the magnet firm. Unfortunately, despite all of my cleaning with the enclosed cleaning papers, the sticky sides of these plates would NOT HOLD! This was very disappointing. waited for the full 24 hrs. before trying to attach phone holders in the vehicles. They just wouldn't work. To make matters worse, 2 plates held the phones before falling off completely! The ones placed on the dash in my photo both failed; the one on the right fell with a phone on it and the other ended up on the floor of the vehicle without ever having anything placed on it three days later.These metal plates aren't a total loss; since they do attract and hold the phones it’s possible that if a different type of sealing material were used for the bonding of the plate to the desired area they’re supposed to be used, I'm sure these would work great. As it is, they're attractive, made from a strong type of metal that strongly attract a magnetic put, but they fail to provide the support they promise too because of poor adhesive. I'd pass unless you have your own bonding agent on hand.

These are the nice and sturdy plates rather than thin, ineffective ones.
