Add another measure of protection and increase fluid flow to transmission cooler increasing cooling capacity with the easy-to-install billet aluminum PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve for the Ram Cummins diesel.
The OEM part has restrictive internal passages. When the OEM valve fails in the closed position, transmission fluid does not reach your cooler. This can be caused by mechanical failure or debris. The result of stock valve failure can cause the transmission to dangerously overheat. Without properly cooled transmission fluid, the demands of towing and rigorous stop-and-go driving conditions shorten the life of transmission components. The PPE Bypass Valve eliminates the extremely restrictive mechanical factory valve which maximizes fluid flow from the transmission cooler.
For further protection, a Neodymium magnet equipped service plug has been added. The removable plug traps ferrous debris and can be accessed to remove particles from the system. The factory bypass valve does not have this feature.

2018 ram 2500 6.4 . The review about the o rings is correct. I had to take the rings out of the original and swap then out. I don't recommend this but I had to do what I had to do in the moment. They definitely need to correct this other than that it is what it is and works as it should

This is a well built part, however get ready as the o'rings in the part are super tight and require an awful amount of work to get the lines to seat past them. Get ready to use a dead blow mallet.... Other than that its a great part of supreme quality

This is the correct design, which has the step in the transmission end just like the factory one. This is important because the lines out of the trans are ridgid metal with no compliance or flexibility, one is longer than the other. The other brands do not have this important step. Also has a magnetic plug...a bonus.
