Shou Mei Aged White Tea Cake
- White tea, as the most natural and simple tea among the six major types of tea, provides the most authentic taste in our cups.
- Our Shoumei is produced in Fuding, Fujian, the hometown of white tea in China.

Fuding White Tea
- White tea is a kind of micro-fermented tea, which is a treasure in tea. Because of the difference in fresh leaf raw materials, Fuding white tea is divided into Baihao Yinzhen, White Peony, Shoumei, Gongmei and so on.
- Baihao Yinzhen (one bud), baimudan (one bud with one leaf), gongmei (one bud with two leaves), shoumei (one bud with two or three leaves)
How to Make White Tea Cakes?
- Compared with other teas, the production process of white tea is relatively simple. From freshly picked fresh leaves, to withering, drying, and finally pressing into tea cakes. The tea cake is yellow-brown, with natural color and complete leaves. They are wrapped in original paper and sealed in a bag, which exudes a rich aroma immediately after opening.
- Simple traditional technology allows Shoumei white tea to retain more nutrients.
How To Brew White Tea?
(1)Take 2-3g tea leaves and put them into the cup or tea pot.
(2)Add boiling water and quickly pour it away.
(3)Add 150ml/5.07oz hot water with 100℃ (212 F).
(4)Soak for 1-3 mins, pour out the tea soup and taste the aroma of tea.
Shoumei White Tea

I love this aged white tea. I had another one from amazon that was very dry, and not much flavor at all…Boy, was this one different! The flavor is rich, liquor is thick and delicious, and it holds both gongfu and western style. Give it a try!

Nice aroma, some aged flavor notes like leather and old books, 85C temp brewed very easy to drink. 90C had more flavor with some mild bitterness that I liked. Handled up to 95C

Mostly broken leaves, noticeable amount of buds.Not too many stems.Tastes like proper aged white tea.This is probably the best shou mei for the price online anywhere.

The tea looked disappointing when I first opened the wrapper. The leaves were a uniform dark brown and looked quite broken up, even for a Shou Mei grade tea. But I was pleasantly surprised when I put the some tea in a warm pot to smell the dry aroma -- it was richer than I'd expected. And once brewed, the tea was quite lovely. Light, sweet, fragrant, with some nice complexity that lets you know you're drinking tea and not simply sweet water. Is it the best aged white I've drunk? No. But I keep going back and brewing some every night as I wrap up my day and prepare for bed. It's a good value. I'm happy with the purchase. I brew 6 grams of tea in 150ml of water (185 degrees) for 30 seconds per infusion. I get about 5 infusions.
