Being made of aluminum, these stakes are NOT very strong. They can only work for a teeny if you pound them at an angle, AND there are no winds, or they will pull up.Probably better suited for small projects rather than tents. I can find uses for them in my garden with weed fabric.

My dad and I go camping together every year! I noticed last year that we have been slowly either losing tent stakes or they were bending and we needed replacements. So happy to have these now and we can continue camping without struggling with our old posts.

These are premium stakes to replace those old flimsy ones you get with a tent or with those Christmas decorations that keep blowing away in your yard. The hexagonal shape seems to hold better and keep from bending better than the normal ones that I have been using. Even better is the convenient little bag to carry them or store them. These will make a great replacement as you need them.

I use a lot of metal wire stakes for hunting blinds. I don't really like them because they bend easy, spin under pressure, and rust. These aluminum pegs look like a great alternative. They are not round but rather have cut edges. They should be much better in soil than the small round wire. They are also quite stiff, so bending one will be much tougher. A pack of 20 comes in a nice bag.I won't be able to try these until the spring, but I look forward to seeing how well they work. The price was also reasonable, so I am recommending them.

These tent stakes are very strong stakes, and I'm using them to anchor down my garden supports. Everything from tree protector cages to trellis for Dewberry vines will benefit from these stakes. They are very well-made in that the 7 inches is the shaft of the stake, and does not include the hook portion. I live in the country so my planting ground here is part clay soil and part sandy loam, and these stakes go into each type equally well. I have attached a photo to this review so you can see the stakes up close along with their carrying pouch if you should need one. I wanted this photo to be very nice so I took the photo prior to putting the stakes in the ground so they wouldn't look all muddy and dirt covered. If you need stakes, these will be a great set to have...

These are smooth, and easier to get into soil, even clay soil - and easier to pull out. Easy pull out isn't a good feature, it can collapse your tent, so you have to pound these into the soil at an angle. Pulling against the dirt, and not out of it, is what will keep these in place and hold your tent up.Not for rocky soil.I don't use these for a tent. I train my fruit trees to have horizontal and drooping branches. This makes for better fruit, and is what they do in orchards. Left alone, apples will grow straight up, nectarines will grow everywhere. Getting more sunlight into the trees, and eliminating the need for sap to rise high, is what leads to a more successful crop. This is the season to train your fruit trees. Do like I just did: hold those branches down using twine and these pegs.A note for tent users: since these are made of aluminum, and they're slim, they're easier to hike with. A caring bag is included.I hope my experience has been a help in your shopping.

We currently have these staking down cloth plant covers in anticipation of cold weather. I had some doubts due to the size and length but they seem to hold well even as the wind blows. They hammered into the wet ground without deforming. The top of the hook is pretty well aligned with the shaft so you should be able to bang it into harder soil without wrecking it. For grins I tried to bend one over the edge of the bench and it really didn't bend much at all. Pretty stiff stuff. These would be great for backpacking and camping or rigging a sun shade at the kids' soccer game. You can carry a lot of them without the weight of steel or bulk of plastic stakes. They come in a nice drawstring bag for easy packing.Nice stuff!

These are worth their weight in gold when you need them. It's a drag to get out in the woods and have to improvise a tent peg.But...what else do you need to do when you're out in the woods? You have all the time in the world to do weird stuff like improvise a tent peg, right?!Unless...the storm is rolling in and your survival depends on getting the tent up fast! You get a bunch of pegs for a good price with this....and it's good to replace/supplement your pegs so that you don't end up short a few when you're out in the woods.Good pegs....good price.
