This is a nice beginner set if you are doing a class or learning on your own. Does not have thread or patterns, so you will have to supply those yourself. Comes with a hoop, various punch tools, needles, cloth, pen, and hook. Would recommend.

I've only been doing punch needle art for a short time, but I initially bought a bunch of expensive punch needles to get started. The punch needles in this set are the same or similar quality to those expensive needles I bought.I ordered this set to have extra supplies on hand so I can teach a friend how to do punch needle art. I'm very happy with this set so far.There are plenty of tools to get started, and all of the tools are working well.The embroidery hoop is made of wood - not plastic. I like that. It's also 6-1/4" outside diameter, so it's large enough for projects, but still easy to hold and maneuver.The two wood-handled punch needles are strong and the needles are securely attached to the handles. The wood is smooth and easy to hold. Each needle also comes with a long threader - I appreciate that.The two pieces of punch fabric are 9" square and are a good quality. The fabric is a little bit thinner than what I usually use, but the gaps in the fabric are tight, so they work well.The scissors in this set works very well. It's also very handy to use.The three small threaders are made like all the other threaders I have - thin metal, but they do the job well.I really appreciate all the needles in this set! They are great sizes and just what I needed. The storage tube makes them easy to use and store. I really like that.The fabric marker works perfectly - not dried out at all.The adjustable plastic punch needle is handy and works well. It's very similar to a more expensive brand that I have - I'm impressed.The instruction sheet is very simple and might not be enough to explain how to get started for someone who is new to punch needle art. It also states to go to the product page to view videos on how to use the punch needles, yet there are no vidoes on the product page on Amazon.Overall, I am very happy with this set - especially for the $13.29 price. I think this is a great set for beginners and for people who have used punch needles in the past. I do recommend this set!
