Shock has no damping at all. Just a big spring.

If your suspension is to soft then it's still probably better than no suspension at all. Got this for my honda crf 110f to replace the worn out stock suspension. The spring on the new shock is so stiff the bike feels like a rigid frame. I'm 200 lb. And couldn't even get it to move. If spring was much softer it would be a decent choice as the appearance is nice and quality seems pretty good.

the bushings fit the bolts snuggly but too much side to side play, i had to stack washers to take up the gapit supports the bike very well but the dampening may not exhist

Purchased to replace stock shock on a Freego f3 pro max ebike (Super 73 knock off). I'm 250lbs and stock shock was way too soft and bottoming out everywhere. Took a chance on this and with some 10mm od/8mm id bushings it bolted right on. It is a lot stiffer than I would like but is definitely a better piece for my bike. Don't know what the spring ratings per inch on either the original shock or this replacement so I was kind of shooting in the dark. Overall it works for me although not ideal. Not the fault of the supplier, just posting in case anyone else is upgrading the shock on their Super73 type ebike.

I only weigh 150lbs and i max this shock and spring out on my pitbike just by sitting on it. Suuuuper bouncy. Unridabke with this shock. Maxed out the spring adjustment and no change.

Unfortunately this shock didn't work for my application, I was looking to replace the original shocks on a moped I am restoring, but one of these alone is too stiff, 2 of them was a no-no, will be returning.BUT, they are well-built, look good, and have plenty of adjustability, but probably only good for a heavier bike running a mono-shock setup.
