Having lost my plastic punch that came with my assortment of fittings, I purchased this to replace it. It works much better, with less effort, than the plastic tool ever did. It is well built, ergonomic, and arrived sharp and ready to work.There is also a channel in the handle, which helps poke a 1/4" feeder line and barbed connector into a hole in your 1/2 supply tubing. This makes this job much easier on the hands, especially if you have arthritis or poor hand strength.

Needed to punch holes for drip emitters in 1" and 3/4" tubing. You need both tools. The plier handle punch wouldn't punch all the way through so I used the pointed tool to finish the job. This has lot to do with the tubing just giving/collapsing under pressure so the tool couldn't put enough force on it. The various adapters for the pliers tool do not go in very easily, it took some work to push them in and then push them back out. I would say it is better than trying to use a push style punch alone and found it worth the purchase.

Very good and handy kit to have around in case you need to block some irrigation tubing holes. Good for the price.
