Your cart is empty.This is a set of two black plastic potentiometer knobs, in the classic "chickenhead" pointer design. These knobs include a set screw and are intended for use on shafts that have a flattened area for best results. You may need to file a flat are into a knurled shaft (such as our audio pots) to get the tightest/firmest grip. These knobs will fit either a .25" or a 6mm shaft. Please refer to the size diagram to the right for size reference (all measurements are in millimeters, with inches in parentheses). These knobs are manufactured by Eagle Plastic Devices. Please note that the coins and cigar box detail in the photo are for reference only; this product offer includes only two of the pictured knobs. These knobs look great on cigar box guitars, amps, and other homemade instrument creations!

These work as they should on a 0.25" diameter shaft, with a flat section for the set screw. Keep in mind my knoobs must point to the opposite side of the flat, as you can see in the pictures. If yours don't, then they will be pointing in the wrong direction. I used this item because I needed more torque (leverage) to turn a rather tight switch on my amplifier. The stock round ones are slippery and not knurled. The chicken-head style provides that much-needed leverage so it turns easy now. What is bad is I paid for two in a bag, but when I went to take the second knob out of the bag, it was missing the set screw. It's useless without the set screw. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it. So one I cannot use, unless I stop by my local hardware store for a set screw. They show a nice dimensional drawing but nowhere do they indicate the thread size. Grrrrr !!!Update September 30, 2023: I found the 2nd set screw to the 2nd chicken-head knob. It's brass so my magnet didn't pick it up in the tight space it fell into when I opened the bag. I posted more pictures showing the two knobs on my amplifier, and the set screw that fell out of the bag. Product works wonderful.

The piece looks OK and does it's job, but it does not have the curves, lines, or design of a U.S.A. made Bakelite Chickenhead knob of old. Plus the set screw on one of the two that arrived was stuck. Some penetrating oil and working it, finally freed it up. They are decent overall, but overall inferior to the original classic Bakelite.

Excellent little knobs, bought two packs for two Jacksons that I customized, wanted a knob that will literally point to where its at. Really helps out in a live situation. Nice Smooth finish and action when installed properly and it is very easy to install. Will definitely buy more when the occasion arises
