These are very basic parts, far as I know they are mostly universal, definitely what every tub I've ever seen uses.You can keep your old plunger (the metal piece) if you want, you just need the plastic.Note that if you're fixing an old spout, you'll probably still get a little leakage. This is to be expected and doesn't noticeably lower water pressure to the shower head.Do look for a video tutorial if you've never done it before, just know that it's super easy and strightforward, I learned on a 30sec Youtube Short, anything longer is wasting your time.

Though this is a universal replacement part, it is too large for the Kohler faucet that I have. Once assembled the circumference of pull stem was too thick so diverter could not be raised to run the water through the shower head. That said, I was able to replace the washer from the old diverter with the washer from this set as it fit the old diverter perfectly. This did improved the functionality of the part I intended to replace but turned out to be a workable solution and the shower head has better flow.

Could not find a tub spout divertor that would fit a 4 inch threaded copper pipe. I tried one at Big Box store, tried one from Amazon, they were either too short or too long. I did not want to resolder the pipe...So, I tried this kit. I sanded down the calcium build up around the hole in our old spout. Tada, this kit worked great. No more leaking...Actually this worked better than the original, tighter fit.Oh BTW, the new spouts are junk, way too thin/cheaply made...Only thing I had to do is drill out the Pull Lever hole for this one to work. So, I order another kit for a spare.
