I have replaced the Yamaha straps on my 2015 FX HO four times and finally someone made something that should hold up. These were absolutely the easiest things to install, no more drilling just use the Allen wrench included.

After replacing the latch lock with the rubber/plastic OEM latch multiple times, I purchased this item which is all metal with a hex head lock screw. The quality and fit are perfect and I'm now confident I'll never have to do this again. This is what Yamaha should have installed on their skis in the first place.

I wish I would have found these before I purchased my last 2 factory sets. The factory rubber ones lasted me 2-3 years. These are super easy to install. If you don’t want to promote free advertising (the name that’s in white on them) you can simply install them upside down on the opposite side. These do latch the rear hatch a little tighter than the factory rubber ones as there is no give. Great quality, looks to be machined from a solid piece of aluminum.

These were easy to install and work really well. I was worried going from the flexible latches to these that I would have to do some bending or adjusting of the fixed striker. That was not the case...once installed all closed really well! Also the old latch fell apart in my hands so no trouble removing that. I may use some locktite on the screws, but otherwise no reason these will not be the last pair I have to buy for Yamaha 2017 FXHO.
