This hay net has proven to be a practical and well-designed feeding solution for my daughter's horse. With her years of competitive riding, having efficient and reliable barn equipment is essential. The quality of the net seems quite good, indicating it should hold up to regular use. A particularly convenient feature is the ring opening at the top, which makes filling the net with hay significantly easier than some other styles I've encountered.Importantly, the horse has no difficulty eating from it; the holes are sized appropriately, allowing comfortable access to the hay. This hay net effectively combines ease of use for the owner with proper functionality for the horse.

The net is high quality and comes with everything but the hay. Works well to slow the horses’ eating down a bit.

These hay nets are really well made and hold a lot of hay. They hold plenty of hay for my larger horses. The purple is a beautiful color! The two handles make them easy to carry and hang in a stall, trailer, or anywhere for that matter!

Heavy duty 2-3 flake bags. Nice thick weave. Wish they were a bit bigger. We'll see how long they last up against the mustang.I like the bright purple color 💜

A bit smaller than expected, but still a good size.

The material on these right out of the package was awesome to see. More nylon lace versus that plastic type material that most hay nets come made from. Hopefully means they'll last longer, and be tougher. Main complaint is that they're small as others have said. I did find that if you turn the flakes perpendicular to the handles, they'll go in easier that way versus pulling out the handles. Not being able to fit the "mouth" over a bin like I usually do to fill bags with flakes is a bit of a bummer, but the material makes them easier to fill than that plastic like material bags. I can fit two small flakes (about 2" thick) in them of orchard bermuda mix hay.

Pros ….-It’s nice thick material. It should last a long time.-the animals liked it-handles at the top instead of a drawstring, which I liked.Cons ….It’s small, holds about half as much as the other 40” hay nets I own.Long version.I was hoping that these Hayserman hay nets would be good sturdy material as they appeared in the pics. And they are!! They are as sturdy as my favorite hay nets that last me for years. So imagine that these will last a good long while. Huge plus!!I also kind of liked the handles at the top. It was different. I liked that there was no string to get caught in the hay while loading and they it made it easy to hold. You could clip a sturdy carabiner to them and hook it to anything but I just slipped them over a fence post. It comes with some extra “rope” should you want to tie it off.The horses and goats loved it. The openings are just a bit larger than the nets they’re used to, but still small enough to help prevent waste. The downside (and this was a pretty big downside for me) is that it is MUCH smaller than the 40” bags I have from 2 other brands. I included side by side pics.As you can see from the pics the nets are the same height, but the Haysrman nets are gathered at the bottom, where as the nets from the other 2 brands I own are squared off on the bottom. This means they hold almost twice as much hay!I ran out of square bales so I’m filling from a round bale but our guess (those of us who fill hay nets daily) was …. you likely wouldn’t be able to fit much more than 1 flake from a 40-50 lb bale. Of course I’m good at stuffing hay in and I think I could squeeze in more.It might not be a big deal if you are feeding smaller animals. It would be good for my Nigerians. But these have slightly larger holes and with holding less hay the horses blew through these in no time. I like to pack my nets with as much hay as possible so that they keep the animals occupied for a good long while.I would recommend them if you don’t mind the size or are feeling fewer or smaller animals. They are very well made and good quality nets. I think they would last a good long while, it would take a lot of abuse to mess them up. They would be good for trailering horses too if you are just trying to keep them occupied for a short while.

I give these 10 stars! I have not tried them on my horses yet, but my goats are using them. I have had goats for over 20 years. They are picky, messy, and spoiled pets, but I love them. They have wasted more hay than they have consumed. I have tried every kind of feeder and I believe this may be the solution for the hay waste. Goats, unlike horses won't eat anything that falls on the ground. If the food is in a bucket they will tip it over and worse they pee in it. I know hay nets have been around for years, but these are far more sturdy and made from heavier rope. They also come in colors which is great for multiple animals. The only issue I have is they are very small for the grass hay I feed. They are perfect for the goats, but in winter I feed my horses more hay and I would need to refill these several times a day. Which is not a bad idea for them, but not for me. Since I don't feed alfalfa hay, that may be totally different. I can't wait to try them on the horses.
