This is a sturdy set of high-quality large-diameter fine mesh strainers. They are made of stainless steel and versatile as they can be used for a variety of purposes. They are advertised as paint strainers and can fit over a bucket, and they would be great for that use when paint has formed clumps and you need to strain them out. I could see myself using them for that occasionally, as I've painted interiors and exteriors a lot in the past, just not recently. The main reasons I ordered them is we have a couple regular and inverted jar beehives with honeycomb where I'd like to press the honeycomb and filter through a sieve or strainer. And also, these types of tools are great for the last steps of saving garden seeds. I always harvest some from my garden each year, such as tomatoes. Those in particular can be messy as the pulp inside will cling to the seeds even after they have been scooped out, rinsed, and in water for a few days. Rinsing the seeds and pressing the pulp out works well with these strainers, they can handle a lot at once, and then I leave the seeds in them for a few days to allow them to dry which works well because air is coming in through both sides and the seeds don't stick to anything like paper towels. I turn them over once during the process, and then just scrape them out when entirely dry, bag and label them, and put them in the fridge drawer for the next season. There are probably several other uses for these strainers. Overall, good durable quality, won't rust, generous in size. I have no complaints.

My application is a bit different. I have tons of indoor plants. After watering I have to drain the saucers and trays that contain soil particles, twigs and fallen leaves. I can strain the water into a 5-gallon bucket and empty the water in the sink without worrying about clogging them. In winter, otherwise it is a pain to venture outdoors to dump them in the yard. Where it will freeze if it is too cold and create a walking hazard.

These are really nice, heavy, high-quality strainers I use all over the house. These are thick, stainless steel and fit beautifully on a 5 gallon bucket, a sink, a trashcan, or anywhere. Great for rinsing, straining, or even sifting. They clean up really easily. These are the nicest strainers like this I have ever had.

These are kind of amazing. I have to sift glass out of dirt due to people dumping garbage. Not all can be picked up by hand. These mesh screens are perfect for this task!! I can pour dirt in and sift out the shards instead of throwing away a lot of dirt with a broken bottle. Simple! I kind of wonder about using one of these in the kitchen? It seems that could be useful there too. So many ways you could use this! Definitely a versatile item.
