Rocker arms are important engine parts.

  • In the automobile engine, the rocker arm system plays an important role by carrying the rotation of the CAM on the camshaft, so that the valve can be opened and closed in a specific time and order. In this way, the process of fuel entry and exhaust gas discharge can be accurately controlled, thus improving the efficiency and performance of the engine.
  • The symptoms of a broken engine rocker arm mainly include reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, increased engine noise, starting difficulties, and abnormal exhaust systems.

Valve lifters are important engine parts.

  • The hydraulic tappet is mainly composed of a plunger, a check valve and a check valve spring. The function of the check valve is used to store or release the oil. The working length of the hydraulic tappet can be changed by changing the oil pressure in the body cavity of the tappet, so as to automatically adjust the valve clearance.
  • When to replace the valve lifters?
  • Insufficient valve height opening, tappet leakage, tappet wear and improper valve phase.

Easy peezy . Take valve cover off . Use a screw driver to pry rocker arm off . Use needle nose pliers pull out old lifter . Make sure you had replacement lifter soaking in oil over night. Push down new lifter. Pry rocker arm back into place , they just pop back in . Replace valve cover . Done , thats all there is to it . Its just that simple.

This worked great to replace rather an OEM part.
