I replaced the snare drum head on my electronic kit with this. It tore in the first few hours of playing. Very disappointed

I have an older Alesis DM10 and put these mesh heads on and removed the old mylar ones... WOW! I used to be jealous of the Roland e-drums, but no more. If you do this, be sure to follow some YouTube tutorials. I added some foam pieces that I cut myself near the triggers. (Some expensive conversion kits come with small foam pieces, but I made my own.).Sensitivity is much better. Bounce is much better. Noise is much lower. This really brought up my old kit several notches. Highly recommended!

Quality so far is good. The color is great and it feels like the original from a Alesis drums.

From my experience when it comes to mesh drum heads. You get what you pay for. These are two ply heads and they work as they should. Nothing great but not at all bad. For the money I would say they are a good deal.

I bought five of these to replace the mylar heads on my very old OSP DD502 MKII electronic drum set. There are many drum sets which use the same parts as the DD502, but I couldn't find a definitive source on how to do the conversion. The closest was 682Drums' kit, which they said wouldn't work on the DD502, but I recommend you watch their installation video. Anyhoo, took the mylar heads off, put these on--easy peasy. I did cut a small piece of foam to put under the rubber pad beneath the head to raise the mesh heads up just a bit to make them tighter. The 682Drums video shows something similar. Great value upgrade for anyone that has an old electronic drum kit.

I put this on a metal snare to convert it to an electronic snare and for quiet practice. Good rebound and you can tighten it up a lot so it doesn't feel springy.

The weave isn't the tightest so there's a scratch feel on my sticks, otherwise they are an excellent value for the price
