While tightening bolts the lock washer would spread open. It would gouge the flat washer and nut. Obviously made of soft materials. U-bolts smaller diameter than stated. Would not recommend!

At 35 foot pound of torque the lock washers split apart.

The u bolts aren't bent rounded enough and don't fully contact the axle , the lock washers are cheap junk and were replaced with better quality ones , they will work but not the greatest
