The metal rod on your dash has a flat spot - Make sure those are lined up. And inside the knob is a metal sleeve which is meant to be in there. Thats what makes it tight.

Helpful Tips: Please remove the old metal sleeve, there was a small metal ring from the old one that you needed to remove before it slid on.

These knobs fit and worked so good I was hoping they would fix the fan speed problem, darn, no luck. My truck dash is now complete again, the empty hole was really starting to annoy me. If you need new knobs, these are worth the few pennies spent, beats dealer prices. Please watch the video attached to item, the one key thing most people will miss if you don't watch is "remove the old metal spring clip first". The knobs WILL NOT fit if you don't remove them. Thank you to the reviewer that posted that video.

My husband ordered these as the knobs in his truck broke as strange as that sounds. You couldn't adjust the air / heat. He installed them easily and when I've driven his truck I can now adjust the temp. They work perfectly and cheaper than going to the dealership!! Very satisfied!

Would have given these knobs a 5 star... but they stuck out just a hair and & was afraid to keep pushing on it because I was afraid I would bust something in my dash.. other than that... good purchase.!!
