Given the bottom diverter output, the design closely matches the standard shower/tub mixer rough out. My installation was complicated by lack of clearance for the diverted valve so I had to open up my wall and remove some wood. I suggest using Sharkbite 1/2 by 1/2 FNPT adapters. These clever devices double as a small union while eliminating soldering near the device. I found it easier to attach the adapters to the tube before screwing onto the ports. I also needed the large trim to cover my existing wariest hole.Don' forget to order a replacement tub spout without a diverter valve.One suggestion: The trim plate is held in place only by the friction of two o-ring seals. Perhaps you could add a ring of double-side foam tape to the back of the trim plate.
