Because it’s a cheap thin paper backing it stops working once it gets wet I’ve had to change the pads 8 times to clean my 1300 sq ft home… will not be purchasing again

To be happiest with your Braava, you need to understand a few elements of how it works.- It can perform dry or wet mopping. It tells the difference via the pattern of holes in the cardboard insert that attaches a pad to the Braava. If you attach a dry pad, it will engage in dry mopping, likewise for a wet pad. Point is, don't be surprised when you attach a dry pad and it does not wet mop!- It tells that a wet mop pad is used up because the dirt absorbed/picked up by the wet mop pad bleeds through the pad and obscures the light pattern shining through the holes in the cardboard. This can be infuriating until you understand it! My house is mostly pretty clean, so I can leave a wet pad in place for a few weeks and it works fine. But after severe fires nearby, a fair amount of dust/ash landed up on the floor and so one wet pad would last only a room as I tried to clean up. At first I though the robot was breaking down until I understood what was happening -- so much dirt picked up in an hour that the pad underside was black and the light pattern no longer registered as correct.- Another common Braava complaint is that a wheel has an error. You can try to fix this in various ways.The simplest and cheapest is to try to clean the wheel aggressively. Forget what the stupid iRobot web site says about removing hair from the wheel; the actual problem is usually either the wheel has got something oily on it (so it slips) or dust has collected in its very fine traction grooves (so it slips). Try using a brush (I used a hard bristle toothbrush with dish cleaner) to clean the wheel. You'll be surprised at how black the cleaning water gets! If you have a small powered scrubbing brush, even better.You can also (if necessary) buy replacement wheels on AMZ. These seem much like iRobot wheels. They are easy enough to replace, a minor struggle but nothing serious.You can also find "tracks" that claim to go around the wheels. These look like they should be good but are a waste of time. Maybe they are targeting other robots? But they are useless for Braava M6. They are slightly too large for the wheels (so would slip off if you tried to use them) and, more important, the resultant wheel is too large to fit into the slot provided below the robot. So don't waste your time or money with that route.

Pads work well the issue is that instead of thin plastic to hold the pad onto the top o it, it’s paper. So I end up having to use 2-3 to complete my 1500 sqft home instead of 1.

Anyone who has a robot floor cleaner knows how expensive these pads can be. Getting them from Amazon was so cost-effective. Who needs the blue box anyway?!!!

When I bought my Braava Jet Mop- I bought the reusable mopping pad.While I love love it the Braava and the reusable pad - there are times when you just want to toss the pad after cleaning (rather than washing and drying it for the next use)I used the pads that I purchased from this seller and they did a great job of making my floors feel clean.They are very absorbent. And when I popped off the used pad it was easy to see how much dirt it picked up - again giving me confidence that these one time use pads are worth the money spent.They feel like they are good quality and, while I prefer reusable to disposable type items - these pads are definitely worth the money.
