The 1000W version is perfect for lighting the driveway.Bright enough to see everything but not too bright while pulling into the garage.It's not going to blind you.The angle of the pole helps the motion detector pick you up as you drive up and throws light very far.

This is a review of the Juvihuxy 1000W Solar Outdoor Lights.The Juvihuxy uses high efficiency 192 LED beads, to provide a white, bright and clear 150000LM 6500K daylight white light. Its 2-way panel is designed to illuminate a vast area of over 2000 sq ft, ensuring safety. The unit contains a stable and long-lasting 20000 mah solar lithium battery.The solar panel has a high conversion rate of 25% and the light coverage has a 240 degrees angle of coverage. Although advertised as 1000 watts, it is highly unlikely the output approaches a 1000 watt halogen bulb. However, the light is fairly large and heavy and is extremely bright and covers a fairly large area.The unit contain a lithium- ion battery that is charged by the build-in solar panel. A green light near the on / off button will be flashing to indicate the unit is on during the day and the batteries are solar charging. The dusk to dawn sensor and will turn on only when it’s fairly dark. The motion sensor has a fairly high range and sensitivity. There is an option to set on motion sensing mode where the light is operated at 30% and then for 30 seconds 100% on motion detection and then back to 30% brightness. The light can be set for timed lighting at 100% for two, three, five, six or eight hours. In addition, the light can be set for constant lighting and adjusted for 25%, 50% 75& and 100%.As the light is fairly heavy, I mounted to an awning pole by clamping two galvanized 3’ by 7’ plates with the provided stainless steel bolts.The unit have a one-year warranty and probably manufactured by another known solar street light company that was rebranded and also listed in their website. It appears that the same light is also sold by other third-party vendors rebranded in their own names. Quality control is missing and these lights need to be examined carefully. The first light I received was defective as the battery was rattling in the light and I returned for a replacement. The unit is poorly packed between two pieces of cardboard and foam.I drilled small weep holes around the bottom of the slots around the mounting bracket as water will collect in those slots as there are no drain holes for the water to run out.Despite the shortfalls, overall, I would recommend the Juvihuxy unit as the light output is fairly bright and will cover a large area.

This light is the brightest outdoor solar street light I have used or seen. The lights face 3 different planes/angles, so there is better dispersement of light.It was a bit hard to put up by myself (I'm a female in my 70's), but managed to do so. There are ZERO instructions, but looking at other solar street light assembly instructions helped greatly. The remote was not explained, but I used "circle search", found one like it and was able to set the light for motion detection. Even at 50 to 100%, it almost looks like daylight on my walk. 10/10 would buy this again.Edit: Just received my second one and it had instructions.

First, this is just a lamp. It has On, off, and timer modes. It doesn’t have a motion detector. This means you can turn on the light and leave it on or set a timer to have it turn off after a certain amount of time. You can also set it to come on when it gets dark and turn off when it gets light. But as mentioned, there is no motion detector to have it come one when someone walks near.The instructions are terrible. These are clearly translated into English from someone who doesn’t understand the language very well. It looks like it is a literal translation from (probably) Chinese. The grammar is so different, all meaning is lost. The total amount of instructions was small to start with (less than one page). Combined with the poor translation, they are useless.There are some build quality issues with the unit I have. There was some chipping on the paint on the main bracket. The remote came with a broken back door. It still works and I can glue it back together but it's disappointing that it came broken.The batteries that came with the unit for the remote were dented. They probably aren't safe so I threw them away and used fresh batteries for the remote.On the upside, this throws a big pool of light if you get it mounted high enough. I live in a cedar forest with only patches of sunlight and it’s pretty amazing how bright it is.
