This is the second time we have ordered the filter balls for our above ground pool.They really help to keep pool sparkling clean. I do not recommend machine washing at the end of season.

I ordered these in January so I would have them when pool time came. I've had them in there 1 day and they have just disintegrated and there's a brown mess of the fibers all over the bottom of my pool. Now everything has to be cleaned and start over again. Back to the sand I go.

Last year I used sand in my sand filter, this year I thought I'd give these balls a chance and I am so glad I did. You don't have to fill the whole filter chamber, I filled mine 3/4 full. I've never had such a clear pool. Note, this does not mean you don't have to treat your pool, you still do, so don't forget to shock it and balance it and these balls will do the rest

25kg or 55lb replacement, not the listed 60lb. Works great and can be backwashed just as easily as sand. Used to run 15-20psi with sand, now I never see it above 5psi and the water is crystal clear.

We have a sand filter pump, and it kept blowing sand back in the pool and we couldn't figure it out, so I seen these and they have kept the pool so clear! Looks like when we first started the pool.. the 3lb bag filled it up just right! I'm not sure how long they actually last till they need cleaning.. 2 weeks good so far!

Replaced the sand in my intex pump with these filter balls. I have been using them for about 2 weeks. I have an above ground intex pool, 18' x 48". I tried these because the sand would make its way into the pool and settle on the bottom. I run the pump each night for about 10 hours. I started to notice a white substance on the surface of the water. Likely from these filter balls. I have run them through the washing machine with baking soda (no laundry soap) The balls are like brand new. (they were pretty dirty before washing) I hooked up the filter that came with the pool, running it for while to see if the white film will filter out. I will update once I have run the big filter/pump again with the clean filter balls.

Works great. I have a 18x18x48in pool. I had a bunch of issues last year with my sand filter. I Could not keep my pool clean ( I live in the woods so algae is bad). I changed over to these from sand and my pool has been clear no issues at all. I just changed mine out because I bought 2 packs. And I am washing the pack I took out now. So far coming nice and clean. I am buying more. For my sister inlaw. And a extra for my self.
