Tips


*The clutch might engage and match engine speed for up to 3 minutes during engine start-up resulting in a fan roar. It's normal and will cease soon upon disengaging.(May more than 3 minutes in cooler or at lower driving speeds)

*The clutch might sound "clicking" after the engine shuts down, it's normal and will cease once the clutch disengages.

*DO NOT replace electric fan clutch unless a specific issue is identified by proper and professional SI diagnosis.

*In the case of a necessary replacement, a DTC should be set and/or SI diagnostics should lead to the replacement of the clutch.

*Proper tools were necessary

*Professional Installation was Highly Recommended.

I got this October 2023 and had it installed January 2024. It’s now October 2024 and my car was running above normal so I took it in to a shop for service and to have it checked out. They found the clutch fan has failed. Wow not even a year!!!! This is not good business. I’m going to contact the seller to see if they will stand behind the part.

It has taken care of the issue with the old fan clutch. As other people said it is about a half inch shorter between the clutch mount and fan blade mount. I had to use a wrench to tighten instead of the socket I used to take it apart. Not a big deal. Most importantly the fan blade is still in the correct place and not any closer to the engine. Now we'll see on the longevity of it.
