Just off the top, I considered giving this 3 stars because I don't like the u-joint being retained with cap screws, howeverI ordered this ujoint to try to convert the steering wheel from my (originally) 85 charger to mate with a Cardone steering box. I didn't realize the 3/4inch direct drive wasn't a 3/4inch diameter circle, but more of a 3/4in rectangle. This could be my lack of understanding with what "direct drive" typically refers to.I had to do a little grinding on the shaft on order to seat the joint, but I'm not mad, it was this or buy either a new or junkyard column. For permanence, I intend to weld the shaft and direct drive together, around the circumference. I'm not a fan of the Allen bolt/tension nut style for long term use. I also don't love that the u-joint coupling the spline and direct drive is retained with a cap bolt. I guess this does make the joint more modular for someone without access to a press, myself included, but I still feel like a simple cap bolt isn't really secure for long term use. I am gonna add red locktite to everything aside from the splined tension bolt, so I don't have to worry about bolts backing out over time.

I ordered this to install in my Chevy truck but I ordered the wrong size. This part looks to be well made and I will hold onto it in case I need to replace a joint in another vehicle.
